How Can severe Perioral Dermatitis Of The Eye Be Treated?

I have been diagnosed with perioral dermatitis around eyes by a Dermatologist but never given the antibiotics. I was told to stop the steroid cream which I have but rash has really flared up around eyes. I went to minute clinic today and she gave me meprorocin ointment and Keflex pills. Will this help? Everything I read online says Metrogel and Tetracycline.
